Best Practices

An audit on your current systems will help you comply with Microsoft Best Practices. Not only will this increase uptime but may also reduce operational costs. Your Enterprise Architects will learn how to design scalable, secure systems that can adapt to changing business requirements.

An examination of key areas including storage, networking, server configuration, operational procedures,licensing, patch management and software configuration will highlight problem areas.

With SCSM, you will have a low-risk migration strategy when upgrading from SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2012 to SQL Server 2016/2017.

Performance Tuning

We will identify bottlenecks in your systems but also teach your staff how to rectify future issues that may arise. This can be done through workshops or one-on-one sessions with your DBAs, developers and system administrators.

SQL Server Infrastructure Design

A typical engagement would commence with 1-2 hours to scope out the project. The High Level Design (40-120 hours) covers architectural workshops, logical design, license optimisation, server count, server sizing, SQL Server DB Engine, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services instance count, Architectural Design Strategy, and Technical Design Strategy. The Detailed Level Design (80-160 hours) covers build instructions, configuration, and disaster recovery.
